About the play:

Trifles is a one-act play written by Susan Glaspell in 1916. Though it faded into obscurity after being a well-received play for its time, Glaspell explores the theme of feminism in subtle ways through her extraordinarily funny story about a murder investigation. While the men - busy as they are - yap on about the occurrences around the farmhouse, the arguably trivial things that come to the attention of the women seem to unravel the truth.

About the Director:

My name is Armin Dorrani and I am a director and theater maker based in Maastricht. In my works I try to focus on the human attempt to achieve something that either feels impossible or truly is impossible. For me, stories about humans are stories about the world. I graduated with a master's degree in Dutch Law and have a well-established fascination for the judicial system and all languages we as humans use to communicate. I am a big enjoyer of basketball, classical music and the Pokémon video game series.
