Corona virus announcement
It is with great sadness that we must announce that Alles is Drama will take a break for three weeks due to the COVID-19.
It has been a hard decision for us to take, but in the end there was nothing we could do other than follow the government's instructions and guarantee the safety of all our members by preventing social contact as much as possible.
As it has already been announced on our social media, the production 'Midsummer Night's Dream' (which was supposed to premiere this Thursday) will be postponed: the new dates for the production have not yet been decided, as they somewhat depend on the evolution of the situation. We will get back to you as soon as the situation becomes clearer for everyone. We sincerely apologize and thank all the people that worked hard for this: the Prettie, the ProCo, and most importantly the actors and the director!
The courses, as well as the 'Who Put Bella Down the Wych Elm' rehearsals will also be cancelled until the 6th of April, following the government's instructions. What will happen after that depends on how the situation develops and the government's actions on this.
Activities, such as bi-weekly drinks and extra activities, will also be cancelled until the 6th of April. We apologize to the Accie who we know have been working really hard to entertain us all.
It will be a hard time for some of us, but we are sure that it is all going to improve and, once this is all over, we will be able to appreciate the little things much more; and live our connections to the fullest. We cordially remind everyone that social distancing is the strategy most recommended to adopt in order to flatten the curve and take as much strain as possible off of the healthcare system. Think of the elderly, young, and immuno-compromised people that surround you before making decisions ! Stay rational and be kind to others around you.
In case you feel lonely and need someone to talk to, our Commissioner of Heartache and Consultancy Beer the Bear is always available for contact, especially in these times. You can send him a message at his own firstname.lastname@example.org !
With lots of love,
Gabriele, Femke, Anita, Phebe, Fleur, Emma
