How to deal with a burning house?

"How should we act in order to maintain a liveable planet for future generations? Is there still something we could do?"

In a dystopian post-apocalyptic world, after most of the life on earth has been vanished because of the fatal consequences of climate change, four climate refugees are dependent on each other, sitting in a boat in an ocean. They are survivers of the floods, air pollution and forest fires that climate change have caused. Searching for a new place to live, they start to reflect on their old lives. If they had made other choices in their lives, could they have prevented further devastation caused by climate change?

Who put Bella in the Witch Elm?

The dead stay quiet only when no one speaks for them. They remain still until their questions and accusations appear on the walls of our cities and minds, demanding answers even where there are none. And we own them.

April, 1943. In the Halsey Woods near Birmingham, the skeleton remains of a young woman are found stuffed into the crown of an old wych elm. A prop of cloth stuffed in her mouth, her left hand amputated and buried thirteen paces from the tree. She lay there in the forest, one more dead amongst the constant German bombing raids and the global slaughter just past the Canal. There is no motive, no suspect, and no killer caught.

Until now.

Welcome to the Lyttleton Arms, 1941. We’re sure you will fit right in amongst the forgotten drunks, downtrodden factory workers and ladies of the night. The Jerries are blasting us to hell, but we’re glad to help you to another round. Just don’t ask too many questions, because something is brewing in the shadows. And you don’t want to get anywhere near where its going. So drink up and join us in our ballad of murder, love, war and witchcraft.

June 6 2020 - Online play due to corona measures

"A Midsummer Night's Dream" - Directed by Stan Ras

Based on the original texts of William Shakespeare, this play tells a timeless story about dreams and reality, love and magic.

The beautiful Hermia flies with her beloved Lysander into the woods, because her father does not allow her to marry him. They are followed by Demetrius, who also wants to marry Hermia. Demetrius is on his turn followed by Helena, who is desperately in love with Demetrius. However, the four young people are not alone in the woods. Nearby, Athenian labourers are working on a play that will be performed at the wedding of the duke of Athens. Also, in the night the fairies wake up, and with their magic they cause much chaos.

"A Midsummer Night's Dream" was to be performed on 19, 21 & 22 March. Due to the corona virus measurements however, the performance has been postponed to a yet to be announced date.
