About the play: 

In this play originally from a Chilean author and director, the deadline of a loan acquired by an Abbey to be repaired is about to end. As it has not been paid back yet, the Bank wants take possession of the property and sell it. A vengeful businesswoman sees this as an opportunity and plans on destroying the convent, until she finds a secret box whose fabulous secret could save the abbey of its destiny. This box will unchain a series of events which will leave bare the real truths of the characters, as this secret will force them to reveal their deepest intentions.

About the director:

Hello everyone, I am Nortan Palacio, artistically known as Norton P. I am the directer of the new ¾ production of Alles is Drama (2022-2023): The Abbey (La Abadía). I have BSc in Drama, and in Literatura, and a MSc and PhD in “Literary and Research of Theatre of Europen Baroque”. As for my profesional career I worked in Spain as an actor, playright and directer in the company called Corral de Comedias Theatre. I worked for almost 25 years in the “Catedral” of the European Theatre: EL CORRAL DE COMEDIAS DE ALMAGRO. We played clasical authors like: Miguel de Cervantes, Shakespeare, Moliere, Lope de Vega, Caldrón de la Barca, Carlo Goldoni, Nicholo Machiavelli, etc In Spain I also worked as a teacher and director for almost 25 years, with different goups; collectives of all ages and conditions such as: primary school, secondary school and university students, social clubs of enterprises, women's centres, psycho-physical disability centres, older people centres, even prisons… Now I am living in Maastricht and my first work is directing the production for Alles is Drama. I am very happy about this and I hope it will be the beginning of many more years of working together.
