Course description: 

Solo improvisation is about being creative, captivating and courageous! In this course, you will learn how to play short improvised scenes all by yourself, by tapping into your own creativity, by getting comfortable at being a bit uncomfortable on stage and by finding out what makes you authentic as an improviser. For beginning players who want to feel more solid on stage and for experienced players who are up for trying out an art form that is both confronting and liberating - the aim is to coach everyone on their own skill level. And even if you're playing solo, know that we're doing this together!

About the director:

Having played improvisational theatre since 2006, I started my own theatre company Troeba Theater & Training in 2011. I have been teaching 'improv' ever since, exploring many different styles of improvisation like theatre sports, narrative long-form, 'Playing Secrets' and of course: solo improvisation. Nowadays, my work as a theatre teacher is heavily influenced by my background in training and coaching, which also characterizes my teaching style: facilitating, empathetic and with a lot of positive energy.
