Course description:

If you would like to learn about acting, the power of your voice and your body, this is the course for you. By exploring different aspects of this form of art, such as film and theatre, you will learn about yourself, become more comfortable with your emotions and learn how to work as an ensemble. In the words of the director, the art of acting allows you to see the world from different points of view, as getting into the skin of a character is about understanding the reasons and feelings that motivate a person. In a way, understanding theatre is understanding culture and the ways of the world. More concretely, after building up performance skills, the course participants will work towards creating a final project together. 

You do not need experience to join this course- anyone is welcome.

About the director:

Vinicius Saramago: After studying Acting for two years at CAL (Brazil), Vinicius Saramago decided to become a director and graduated from the Escola de Cinema Darcy Ribeiro in 2014. Afterwards, he wrote and directed his first film, DELIVERY BOY, which was selected for 48 film festivals in more than twenty different countries. The production garnered 14 awards, including best film, actor, screenwriter, and director. Then, Vinicius moved to Canada to develop his craft, where he shot his second film, THE KID. The film has also festival selections, and its main recognition is a prize at the Girona film festival. His experience with film as well as his in depth understanding of the art of acting allow him to be a proficient director suitable for any direction the group would like to work towards.
